Emmar's first generative AI explorations began in the summer of 2022.  Before that he used AI based tools for rotoscoping and upscaling, along with some limited deep fake work.  For this installation, Emmar used Stable Diffusion Deforum.  Video shoots from years past, including one from the passenger seat of a car in the hills north of San Franscisco, served as a base for the AI to transform the world.

Some simple vector animations were transformed into a toothy animation.  There was also some 3D AI pieces presented in AR, insectoid human organs.  The title of the installation relates to the movie The Fly.  There is a scene where they put a steak through the teleporter and it tastes synthetic afterwards.  Emmar was connecting that concept to the synthetic nature of artificial intelligence.

All of the art pieces were attached to a bed, connected to the ideas of sleeping, which the main piece demonstrated.
